EDIT: Added some building in the background and the black strip along the bottom.

Did this awhile back when i was in my Akira obsession phase.
Felt like a brake from my SF and FFVII stuff, so i threw down some colors on this bad boy.

Think it kinda turned out looking like an animation cell sheet.
This is probably cos i gave up on doing a sky in the BG, i found it took to much attention away from the characters so i just left as a grey haze, kinda like an overcast sky.

Anyways please leave a comment and let me know what you guys think.

I still think that you should do something about the background, preferably some buildings, coz the wall and the graffiti are so detailed, and the sky is just blank, makes the picture feel abit unfinished...
Another idea is to give it a dark sky like night time, gives it a very contrasting color...
Other than that, very cool linework and layout, I want to draw like that...

the wall on this is really really awesome and inspiring.
Perhaps you could get it going all the way to the top?

but i dont think it looks unfinished. it looks as you say like an animated cel.

have u tried it with like dark blue bg or a night sky?

I was thinking, I don't recall this scene in the movie. This is great as, but adding additional bg would help.

the scene would probably have happened prior to the movie, OR some time after they beat up that guy who was harassing Tetsuo's girl.

Firstly, I'm glad to see you finally do something with that drawing, been lying around too long. All good. Like the way the sketchy line-art adds to the gritty feel of the drawing. Good texturing and nice work on the wall -- I like the way you snuck in your signature there. I'm going to have to join the chorus with everyone else and ay that the white fails the picture a bit... Tetsuo's eyes send the eye-path in the image off into the white space. It kinda throws off the composition and leaves me feeling uneasy. Its not too difficult to fix, though: put something there for the ee to rest on, it doesn't have to be more drawing, it can be text, a logo whatever.

Nice wok. You captured the style, and have some great posses in there. I like how you hide your name in the background aswell.

not quite sure what you mean about tetsuo's line of sight and some text???
might have to explain to me in person.

and about the bg, seems a lot of people think it needs something so i might put in some real detailed sky scrapers otomo style.
